[edit] Adding keywords to an image
When you select an image the Keywords tab will display the keywords that are already assigned to it as well as related keywords from the categories to which it belongs. This data is stored in the 'Keywords' IPTC tag. If you want to add some keywords you can enter keywords separated by commas into the top field and press the 'Add keywords' button. Duplicate keywords are removed during the update process. When a keyword is displayed in the list below the input field, it is already stored in the IPTC tag of image.
[edit] Adding keywords from category
You can add related keywords from the category to which an image belongs. If an image has already been added to any category you will see image keywords in the list at the bottom. You can select (use the check-boxes) some keywords and drag them into the top list or click the button on the toolbar. You can also right-click and and select "Add selected category keywords." This will move the selected category keywords to the image keywords list. If you want to quickly add all category keywords to the image keywords, you can right-click > select all in the category keywords list box and then right-click > Add selected category keywords.
[edit] Copying and synchronization of keywords
You can use the F11 shortcut to copy image keywords into the clipboard. Keywords will be separated by ',' or ';' or any other separator than you can select in the dialog: Options - Keywords. For example [comma][space] separator. By default the separator is ','. You can paste selected keywords into the input field of other images and add them to the image.
Another useful option is keyword synchronization. What is synchronization? See the example:

To synchronize keywords, select the images you want to sync and press the F4 button. Image keywords will be synchronized.
[edit] Automatic keywords generation
You can generate keywords automatically by pressing the Ctrl-G shortcut and entering a few relevant keywords in the dialog. Cushy Stock will generate 30 similar keywords. Sometimes Cushy Stock returns a blank result. In this case you can change the keywords generator. Go to Options dialog and open the Keywords pane and change the generator form Dreamstime to Shutterstock.
